Tips for Teachers & Parents

At Montana State Fund, we’re committed to keeping kids safe when they’re at work, but we need your help. Go through this section of our site with your kids or students. You might surprise yourself and learn a few things about workplace safety.

You can help, just by talking. Talk with kids about what they do at work and the risks associated with it. Explain to them that job safety might not seem cool, but an accident can have drastic effects (Young Worker Injury Stories).

Do they know they have rights? Young workers have rights. Let your kids know they’re entitled to speak up and tell their supervisor if they don’t feel safe while performing their jobs (Young Workers’ Rights).
